Terracotta

The rich heritage of Yelahanka and the terracotta fields that the land is abundant with, drew our founder here.

Terracotta literally means ‘ Baked Earth’, and has a significant meaning in Hindu philosophy. Natural clay extracted from dry lakes or tanks is used to make terracotta tiles giving it its rich colour further enhanced in strength and durability when fired at more than 850*C.

Various terracotta products are manufactured for the building industry like roofing tiles, wirecut bricks, clay hollow blocks, clay weather proof tiles, clay flooring tiles and clay decorative tiles.

Each tile proudly bears the Raja Mark, an assurance of quality through the ages.

Terracotta products are economical and eco-friendly. They also come with acoustic and thermal advantages. Such products were ideal for a newly independent India which faced hot summers.
